This is the very first big project I undertook after having taken up knitting in a serious way about 2 years ago. My mother has a jumper that she has had for as long as me and my sisters can remember. One of those items that becomes part of a person – in a way that is as special and unique as they are to you.
My sisters decided they wanted one for themselves – just like mom’s. So I went about copying my mom’s jumper and making up a pattern of my own. I completed it 6 months after I began and have not knitted anything so large in 3 ply since! One day I will have to do another one for my other sister and if it goes well may be even one day for myself.
